Letters written to and from Stalag Luft 1

The first mail to arrive at Stalag Luft 1 took 6 months and 11 days to get there.  Mail going out went a little quicker. 

Please look at the letters for Kodis on 3/27/44 and 10/04/44.  Kodis was the Navigator that was killed on 12/20/43 but his wife kept hoping he was ok until she received the letter on 10/04/44. Mrs. Kodis gave birth to their daughter ten days before her husband was killed.
